Cadet College Hasan Abdal provides an opportunity to the Cadets of class 2nd Year to explore the culture, history and diversity in other countries. This year 24 Cadets of 2nd Year, under the supervision of Mr. Mueen Akhter Tahir, went to Turkey. It was a 10 day trip. The boys visited Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, Pammukale, Kusadasi, Bursa and Istanbul. Every city brought something new for the boys. Mesmerizing landscape of Cappadocia along with ride of quad bikes and hot air balloon , peace in Konya, wonderful beach of Antalya, Calcium Terraces and ancient cities of Pammukale, hustle and bustle of a small town Kusadasi, breath-taking sights of Uludug mountain, wonderful experience of cable car ride left the boys spell bound.
Stay in Istanbul brought the trip, altogether to another level. Ferry ride to Prince’s Island, visit to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Higia Sophia, Covered Bazar, Mall of Istanbul, Cevahir Mall made it something unforgettable. In Vialand (Isfunbol Theme Park) Roller coaster Ride, Free Fall, 360 swing, Vikings etc. took the fun element to the next level.
This trip was not all about sight seeing or fun, our boys spent their last day with Turkish Red Crescent in Istanbul. They had an interactive session with the regional coordinator and asked a lot many questions regarding restoration of Syrian refugees. It was wonderful to spend the last day with Red Crescent Turkey. The boys were seen off after sumptuous lunch by the regional coordinator.
The contingent reached back Pakistan on 7th August with life lasting memories of ten days.
